I would like to discuss the Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia because that is one of my dream places. Although I have never been there before, I will visit that mesmerizing place someday. As the world largest and highest salt flat, the Salar de Uyuni spans about 4086 square miles in south-western Bolivia. The Salar de Uyuni holds an estimated 10 billion tons of white salt. The landscape is flat. Underneath the salt, there is the world’s largest lithium reserve. Approximately 70% of the world’s lithium reserves are found here. As a result, the exploration of lithium is a big industry in Bolivia.
