Biography of Salie Browne Cotton My Grandmother, Salie Browne Cotton, was born in Panama City, Florida, on the sixth of October in 1937. She was only two years old when World War II began, she went through the Civil rights movement after being raised by a black maid, and had a two children and husband during the vietnam war.
During her early life her and her younger brother, Bucky Browne was raised by a black maid before the Civil Rights Movement. Her parents were very wealthy so they could afford it.
