“Brownback worked around that by ordering the state not to spend any money on refugees in Kansas, or to "aid, cooperate with, or assist [refugees] in any way.” (Hipp). Money should not be the reason why Kansas is rejecting Syrian refugees in need of shelter. The refugees from Syria need help settling in America after losing much of what they owned in Syria’s ongoing civil war. “Protecting Kansas from Terrorism," states that "no department, commission, board or agency of the government of the State of Kansas shall aid, cooperate with, or assist in any way the relocation of refugees that present a safety and security risk to the State of Kansas.” (Hipp). Syrian refugees are not fleeing their country to come harm American citizens, all they need is a place to live while Syria fights its civil war. Precaution can be taken without neglecting the needs of these people, they have already lost too much and can not afford to lose more. All refugees should be allowed to settle in Kansas and the government should help provide a job or source of income until the Syrian Civil war
