When developing his theatre Meyerhold also strove to create a new style of actor “an actor must go even further in relating his technique to the industrial situation” (Meyerhold on theatre, Meyerhold, 1986 p197). To pull masses into the theatre, aside from bio- mechanics, Meyerhold also began pulling from various types of expressive theatre in his goal to create a more well- rounded actor, “the actor must train their material (body) so that it is capable of executing instantaneously those tasks which are dictated externally” (Meyerhold on theatre, Meyerhold, 1986 p.198). Pulling from expressive style such as circus, gymnastics and commedia del’arte Meyerhold turned his actors into also acrobats, dancer and singer and more. Using techniques
