There were three subjects in Unit 1 at the time of the crash: Linda Sawyer (driver), Janie Sullivan (front seat passenger), and Julie Corio (rear passenger). First, due to the bad thunderstorm that was occurring during the wreck, it is likely that these wet road conditions at least somewhat, contributed to the crash. Second, if Billy Farmer had been wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, there is a good chance he would not have sustained as bad of a head injury, and it could have saved his life. Both vehicles should be photographed extensively, being sure to focus on the damaged areas and points where the two vehicles made contact. The roadway conditions, in addition to anything else that might have been damaged besides the vehicles also needs to be photographed.
