1. Although the Saturday Evening Post was not the first magazine, in many ways it was the first for America. One way the magazine differed from others is that it didn’t just post news stories. It was back then what we would call a gossip magazine of sorts, like people magazine, it had advice columns and poetry. The magazine had also managed to be a nationwide magazine instead of just sticking to their home area, so everyone, in the states, was reading the same magazine as well. Lastly, this magazine became the leading weekly in the united states because of its appeal to a general audience.
2. Photojournalism grew during the civil war because one man had the idea that everything occurring during that time was history and that it should
