How is that apple you're eating? Chances are that without bees that apple would have never been pollinated and most other fruits too! Bees are very important to the who food chain without them we would have lots of unpollinated plants so the can not produce “the food” it provides for us. PCCD (phenomenon colony-collapse disorder) is what scientist are calling the disappearance from bees and the cause is preventable. Additionally americans need to protect bees because without bees our food system will be dramatically affected by not having fruit pollinated.
As a matter of fact bees are a crucial part of the the farming process they pollinate most of the food farmers grow today. “That includes about 90 different food crops people depend on--from almonds and apples to blueberries and coffee.”(Maloney ) Bees help produce a lot of our food and without them we could see a lot of foods we take for granted. Without bees it will cost farmers a lot of money just to pollinate their crops. Which will trigger food prices to go up to cover the costs of the pollination. Which will cause an economic collapse. ( Almasy, Steve )/ Crops without bees will cause a chain reaction that could trigger some high food prices! “there was still no concrete proof of causation.” ( Dussault, Joseph )Whether the pesticides are behind the disappearances or not we have to find a way to halt the decline! The decline bees is a bigger problem than we expected and it would not just affect farmers but us here at home
