Sayyid Qutb was a theoretician and is known as the father of jihadi, armed struggle. He justified the violence by explaining that it was necessary in order to achieve Islamic order. Qutb was very influential for the Muslim Brotherhood especially since Banna had been assassinated and given the crackdown occurring at the time.
