I always have so many thoughts and ideas running through my mind, and when we make scenes and I get to express some of them, and it relieves some of the crazy. Seeing what others come up with and shaping your own scene is one of drama’s major cornerstones. Rehearsal may be difficult when everyone just wants to have fun, but it’s all worth it when you go up and show everyone what you’ve got. One of my favorite things to do is to get in character, the more different from me, the better. Getting to see something from the view of someone else, even if it’s scripted, is one the most amazing experiences. If you can truly get into the scene and character you forget the audience is even there. In front of these people in this moment, you’re not you, you’re someone else. It’s an exhilarating feeling, and truly makes the theater experience. Then, there’s performing. It always starts the same. The nervousness, worrying about slip ups, and entire bodies shaking. Before anyone realizes, it’s time to start. As soon as feet hit the stage an adrenaline rush hits, and you’re starting. The feelings. The moments. The performance. It’s all impossible to describe. No matter how many times I experience it, the swarm of emotions never ceases to sweep me off my feet.
