However, it creates new opportunities for success. Washington state proposed a statewide screen free week in Montesano Schools. Although the state thinks this will benefit Montesano’s students, the reality contradicts this a “Screen Free Week” would disable the students. By keeping our current system we would help students improve. Not only can the students be able to access close friends but they can be emailed assignments, club information, and other needed school details that otherwise would be left to the mind to remember. “Teens have a ‘full time intimate community’ with whom they communicate in an always-on mode via mobile phones and instant messaging” (“Teenager’s Internet Socializing Not a Bad Thing” by Tamar Lewin).
