Diet
The diet of this animal is fascinating. These mammals diet consist of sea urchins, various types of shellfish, abalone, small squid, mussels, and clams. The otter hunts for food in kelp beds and sometimes on the ocean floor out in the open ocean (Johnson 1). The 40 her marine animals are still known (“Basic”). They mainly eat crabs, shellfish, and kelp (“Sea otter”). They eat 1/4 of their weight.(”Sea Otters”). The Fascinating diet consists of mainly sea urchins, squid, and abalone.

The kelp beds store anything the otter needs like food and a home (“Johnson 15”). sea otter stays near the kelp beds. When they live together their can’t be more than 3 to a group of otters (“Sea Otter”). The habitat is mostly made of land and water.
Reproduction
They have 6-8 young pups as part of their reproduction. When they reproduce they stay with their young for 6-8 months (“Johnson 26”). When they mate to reproduce they live alone till about 1 month before mating (“Sea Otters”). The pups have more insulation than most of the older sea or river otters. The babies have no blubber. All they have is thick hair that acts like really thick insulation (“Basic”). The reproduction is fascinating that they have 6-8 young pups.
