Look at the work that the horse rider contributed.What would be more important to do, train the horse or to have a talented horse? Truly the answer would be that it would be more important to have a talented horse since each time that you would participate in a race, the horse would gain practice and hence would improve. If you would have a non-talented horse, then you could practice with him or her again and again and again, but it would never be enough to make the horse as marvelous as a talented one. So, the horse should be awarded rather than the rider, or at least both of them should receive this title.
You would probably be wondering who is the real athlete and why. Well, the true answer would be that both the rider and the race horse should be athletes. The horse would have the physical ability and the muscle to run and the rider would need to train and practice with the horse since the horse can’t purposely practice for a race on his or her own. So, like I stated earlier, the horse did not do all of the work and neither did the rider. This would be a team athlete, rather than just a single athlete.
