In 2015, a total of 22,441 passenger vehicle occupants died in motor vehicle traffic crashes. More than 2.5 million drivers and passengers were treated in emergency departments as the result of being injured in motor vehicle traffic crashes in 2015.
Most teen drivers (18-21) are more likely to not wear a seatbelt while in the driver or passenger seat. Seat belts are very important, when a seatbelt is worn correctly you have a 74 percent chance of less injury when in an accident. There should be more awareness about seat belt safety. According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) only 50 percent of schools cover seat belt safety in depth.
There are plenty arguments about wearing a seat belt. Some say the seat belt
