Before information on the second half of industrial revolution can be presented, basic information on the first industrial revolution is needed. The term “industrial revolution” was popularized by Arnold Toynbee to describe Britain during their economic boom from 18th and 19th centuries (The Editors 1). The main premise was the idea that instead of using handmade and traditional ways to produce goods, machines should do it. If machines continue to make goods in place of traditional methods, making products, such as textile that were hard to make at the time, would become so much more efficient.
