Introduction
The term “senioritis” is frequently used during senior year of high school, senioritis is when teens lose motivation in their senior year and often have poor attendance. Navigating the final year of high school can be pressuring as these young adults figure out the known and the unknown. Going into senior year is the start of an upcoming adulthood, eagerly anticipating the freedom and opportunities after high school. Implications “Seniors can say they have senioritis all they want but, simply, they are lazy!” This was a quote a parent had made in one of my articles, this is the biggest argument against my topic, older generations tend to think that there is nothing wrong with these young adults in their senior year they are just lazy, this statement is understandable because my generation hasn't set up the best reputations, and they may even be right I am sure that some seniors are just lazy, however, this is not the case when it comes to every senior. One thing parents and seniors in high school can agree on is that their final year of high school flies by and is a piece of cake. Conclusion/Reflection Senioritis is more than a fleeting lack of motivation; it is a significant psychological and emotional challenge that affects many seniors in high school. Academic pressure, shifting priorities, and overwhelming stress create a storm that sucks anyone around it in. By recognizing the signs of senioritis and understanding what causes it, we can take proactive steps to control its causes. Schools can implement engaging curricula and provide effective systems, including counseling and stress
