The Sepoy Rebellion was caused by insensitivity the British government had for the culture of the Indians. Imperialism was a plan used by strong countries in order to control other the culture of other countries. The British were not familiar with the Indian culture especially the beliefs of the Hindus and Muslims and tried to enforce their way of living on them. A sepoy was an Indian soldier who served for the British or other European government. Sita Ram was a loyal sepoy, but was questioning the methods of the British.
