More often than not, the morals and values that we live and die by are learned during our childhood. It is the way we are raised, the values we are taught and the environment that we evolve in that determines how we approach life as we grow older. And although some manage to free themselves from their childhood, many become trapped into thinking how they were raised is the only way to live life. A perfect example of someone unable to escape their upbringing is shown in my primary text, The Departed where Sergeant Connor Sullivan was seduced by the antagonist, Frank Costello. Sullivan quickly became a product of Costello's environment, he fell victim to Costello's charisma and consequently became a corrupt figure. By associating with the mafia,
