There is no nuance or honest depictions of average Indigenous peoples in Thunder Bay Dirty, because that is not their intent whenever they post these pictures. Their intent is to slander the Indigenous peoples by making it out to be the all the Indigenous peoples here in Thunder Bay, if not the rest of Canada, is filled with filthy homeless drunks as “citizens.” And people will believe this as Thunder Bay is the “hate crime capital of Canada.” (Talaga, 268) There is a strong hatred of Indigenous peoples from residents in Thunder Bay, and they would be more than likely to believe the Facebook page that spreads lies about them rather than the true perceptions of Indigenous peoples straight from themselves.…show more content… It spreads misinformation about the Indigenous peoples in Thunder Bay to appease their intolerant audience who despise them.
