Thomas Aquinas Collage is where she graduated with a degree in education (1971). After she graduated, she continued teaching while taking side jobs, renting out apartments in New York City. In 1973 she took a major risk and decided to form her own real estate business with her boyfriend who gave her a loan of $1,000. In 2001 she sold her extremely successful business to NRT for $66 million.
Her TV experience started on Shark Tank in 2009 as an investor. Barbara has invested in more than 20 businesses on the show, some of Barbara’s most famous entrepreneurs are “Nardo’s Naturals” and “Pipcorn”. She has also appeared on NBC as a real estate contributor, hosts CNBC’s ”The Millionaire Broker”, and has been featured in many other popular television shows including “Larry King Live”.
