Shays Rebellion Research Paper

This transformation was made by the USA founding father due to an incident called Shays Rebellion. The incident called Shays rebellion occurred after the revolutionary war due to concern of Massachusates people having heavy debt, worry of losing lands, having no reimbursement for military service, and having unrealistic high levels of taxing to pay for. The person who led this rebellion was called Daniel Shays. He led the rebellion in Massachusetts/areas of Springfield and was a Continental Army soldier who was against debt collection. This power applies to federal and state laws. In other words, it ensures that actions comply with constitutional mediation and prevents abuse of power by other branches of government. The process is followed when a law or executive action is challenged in court, then the judiciary evaluates its constitutionality. If the court finds an action as a violation of the constitution, it can declare it invalid. In short, it’s a process of executive, legislative, and administrative actions that are subject to review by the judiciary (Leaving authority to the Supreme Court). The whiskey rebellion was an uprising that took place in the United States during 1791 through 1794. The cause of this was due to federal excise tax on distilled spirits/whiskey. This was done to help pay off national debt during the revolutionary war but it was disliked by farmers and distillers as it took a toll on small producers rather than large commercial distilleries.
