Person of the Year- 1895- Sherlock Holmes
Times Magazine nominates a “Person of the Year” award annually, to publicly show admiration and respect for people that should be recognized. This person is nominated based on big or small actions whether negative or positive.
In light of recent events, it is clear that Sherlock Holmes, a promising detective, is the choice nominee. He has exceeded the great expectations of his London town and the whole nation. Everything he does is for the sake of others and no profit is made of it. In an interview with Miss Helen Stoner, a recent client of Detective Holmes, Stoner states that Holmes was accepting and non-judgmental. She said that Holmes took her case even though she had no money to offer him. Sherlock Holmes was eager and ready to help even a worried and insecure lady such as herself. Another exemplary characteristic that should be noted is his dedication. No matter what else is happening around his, this detective will never veer off or focus on anything thing else. His cases are the most important thing to him, and anyone he’s serving will get his upmost attention at all times.
