For example, somethings that both groups have in common is that both still fighting for an equal and fairly treatment from the government and the opposite sex. Both American and especially Iranian women are expected to satisfy men’s sexual necessities without objection and support the government or their husbands no matter if they do not believe that the actions of these individuals are the best for the society or themselves. On the other hand, some differences between these two groups are that Iranian women, especially Iranian women artist, contrary to American women, receive a more severe punishment such as be executed, exiled, arrested, or tortured if it is necessary in case they fight back their oppressors (Shirin Neshat). Another difference is that American women are able to work in something more than just serve their families and communities, for example, as artist in projects such as the Neshat’s project without being arrested or putting in exile, instead they will probably be criticized and in some cases take it to court depending on the context of their
