An ugly sweater that hasn’t been washed in forever is forced to be worn on you on your birthday. You are also in math class and everybody is looking at you. This is the life Rachel lives in the story eleven. “Eleven” is a story about girl named Rachel who turns eleven and thinks that even though she is eleven years old, she still thinks that she still has her younger ages inside her. First of all, sometimes when kids are embarrassed they become shy and try to hide themselves and avoid doing the work they need to do,secondly, sometimes when kids get embarrassed they feel worse about themselves, lastly sometimes when kids get embarrassed they become sad.In the story Eleven by Sandra Cisneros, kids feel embarrassed when they are forced to accept or do something that makes them feel uncomfortable.
First of all, sometimes when kids are embarrassed they become shy and try to hide themselves and avoid doing the work they need to do. I put my head down on the desk and bury my face in my stupid clown-sweater arms. This makes it clear that Rachel is becoming shy because she is embarrassed.
