He had a feeling in his chest, which he could not explain. He had finally met his match. “You’re not. . . . Why can’t I change you?” Shade growled.
She only smiled. Soleil was her name. One of the most famous angels, she had the reputation of turning the wicked demons into something better. It was a hard game, but Soleil was the one angel who could do it. “You have powers like me, from what I can see,” she said, and her eyes shifted to behind him.
“Well, both realms must have a protector.” Shade glared.
She reached for his hand and felt a burn; she pulled away. Her once white nails became black. She gulped, while smiling at him. The relationship of good and evil. It would never work, because they both would slowly change from what they were to something different. Yet, as they both stood there, they felt a pull towards each other they just couldn’t ignore.
