If America were to join the League of Nations, it would cause extreme suffering and harm to the country and would benefit no cause. America would suffer from more innocent lives being lost, an economic setback, and losing its status as a superpower. America would not bring success to the goal of the League of Nations. During World War One America suffered from a total of 117,465 deaths, 757 of these deaths were civilian casualties. If America got involved in European affairs it could only result in the demise of even more innocent lives. This is the greatest reason why America should not join the League of Nations. During World War One, America had spent a total of $22,625,253,000 on the war. This significantly impacted the country's economy.
