Physically/mentally capable adults should be required to work for their welfare because; people will take less advantage of the government if they have to work for benefits. If the government is offering free money or anyone per say humans would take it because it’s available, to this day people take advantage of the system. That is why some would like to see welfare eradicate because they feel that their taxes are not going in the right place. Although many people say they may not have the time to work but if they are not working, by making them do service jobs or volunteer it could give them the incentive to find a job. It’s also unrealistic to think that there are people who would not take advantage of the system. There are college students without jobs. It would be hard to work a job and go to college. Anyways my point is that yes college students should be working at least part time for welfare because some would use their food stamps to buy lobster. They would take advantage of the system. Then there are people who actually need food stamps to get by because they do not have semi-wealthy parents to back them up when they need food. It may be easier to just take the handout, but it’s not right. By having people work for benefits, it’s weeding out the lazy
