I feel that the U.S nor the City of Chicago should make it mandatory for individuals and newborns to submit their DNA/ genome into a database because this informations should be private. DNA contains our own genetic information. I feel that this information should be kept private because there are people don't want other to know if they have a disease. This can cause an issue with the person later on in life by their information being exposed to anyone and create problems with other. Not only will having their DNA/ Genome available to the government and insurancers affect the person’s lifestyle, but also if the baby is genetically made then it will cause a negative outcome on the baby later in life.

Even though this is a good way to help your child and help them not have trouble in life, it can create a more bigger problem that will affect the child later on in life. The problem with designer babies would be that later on in life the child will have problems such as having a disease. All of this information will be given to many people and the child will not have a say in who gets this kind of information. This can change in how people view the child as well as how they view the parents. I feel that the parents should accept their baby no matter what flaws and all.
