Should Minimum Wage Be More Affordable?

As I expected from the beginning of the project, I did not come close to making out while earning minimum wage. With a 10 dollar an hour job, it is simply not realistically possible to make out each month. The monthly salary was 1,600 dollars, compared to the 3,730 dollars I sped every month. That is a 2,100-dollar difference, which is more than my salary itself. So how do I expect to pay my bills and live a comfortable life while earning minimum wage? I do not. I think that the only way for anyone to live a life where they do not have to worry about whether or not they will be able to pay their bills is by getting a better job. People can not afford to go to school, therefore they can never get a good job, therefore they can not get out of poverty. To me this a question that I have been trying to understand for as long as I can recall. We have a political system that looks down on the poor, while at the same time declining the help that people need in order to get out poverty. Why can’t college be more affordable? Something as simple as that will have a major impact in our future generations. Although there are programs to help the needy, there are not any programs to help them become productive members of society. Why give a man food for one day when instead you can help them better himself so that they can have the opportunity to feed themselves. What I got form this project is that, minimum wage is not a living wage; we should be helping people get to a place in their life where they do not need food, instead they can afford to buy their
