Pit bulls being allowed as pets have been the subject of debate on whether they should be allowed as pets since 1990. Some people think they should not be allowed as pets because they are “vicious” and “murders”. I personally do not agree with this claim, and today I'll be explaining why.

Pit bulls have been a dog breed since 1998. Roughly 90 years later, they are being blackballed and given horrible reputations. The worst part is, half of it isn't even true! The article “Pit bulls haven't always had a bad rap” states that in the early 1990’s, pit bulls were respected because they were working dogs. There are even reports of pit bulls saving military soldiers from gas leaks by smelling it. They are super helpful and hardworking dogs.
