The Amazon Rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world and is more than half the size of the U.S.A! It is located in South America, mostly in Northern Brazil but also in parts of Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, and Venezuela. Many people visit the rainforest to see the beautiful sites of animals, plants, and the rainforest itself. This is what attracts people all over the world. To save the Amazon it would be a big difference for people now and many generations before to see the rainforest. The Amazon Rainforest should be protected, therefore, deforestation must stop because it provides oxygen for all living things and many species of plants and animals make a home in the rainforest.
The Amazon Rainforest should be protected because the Amazon produces most of the Earth’ oxygen. According to T.C.I, “ Scientists believe that the Amazon rainforest alone creates about one quarter of Earth’s oxygen.” Humans need oxygen to lie on a daily basis. To lose almost one fourth of the Earth’s oxygen would be a major decrease in oxygen.
