The definition of freedom is “the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” This means that every individual has the right to express themselves. The first amendment of the bill of rights is freedom of speech. The first amendment consists of freedom of press, speech, religion, and to petition the government. On the other hand, the government limits peoples freedom of speech. For example, a person cannot yell out fire in a public space, because it will causes people to panic as well as chaos.
