Proximity of communities in Ancient Egypt to the Nile river made their trade successful because of how easy it was to communicate and trade with other civilizations. In Ancient Mesopotamia the Tigris and Euphrates rivers were the most important resources for trade because boats were the preeminent and most efficient source of transportation in the civilization.The rivers were the most important factor in agriculture because without them both of them, the civilizations would have never grown to the size of they had once been. The trade these rivers were able to provide for factored into the political unification of the societies.
In the Ancient Civilizations Nile river and the Tigris and Euphrates dictated the political unification. The Nile river was mainly smooth and navigable making it very easy to unify Egypt with all of the traveling people could do. The Tigris and Euphrates rivers were much more unpredictable therefore the political unification of the civilization depended on the river’s tranquility. In both of the ancient societies without the rivers there the only way to travel around would be by foot, making traveling much slower and harder to unify the civilization as a
