The French revolution and the American revolution both had similarities and differences. Similarities in the events that led to each revolution was that they both wanted to escape the ruling of the king, they both started to up-rise the unfair taxing of the monarchy, and both wanted to set up a Republic, which provided liberty and justice to all of the citizens. A difference is that America wanted to start out peacefully while France started with violence and bloodshed. Also, both revolutions had philosophoers to encourage them. The America revolution had John Locke while France had Rousseau.
