Andrew Jackson and Thomas Jefferson have told the American people that minorities are accepted as the common man and are just as equal as anybody else, but actions have showed otherwise. Jackson and Jefferson both owned slaves so that just goes to show that they have no respect from blacks! Also they both agreed that Native Americans should be exiled from their home and go to another place. Jackson and Jefferson share many similarities in their political programs but they do have a difference. Thomas Jefferson was pro-agriculture and Andrew Jackson was pro-industrialization. Thomas Jefferson was definitely for the land. Jefferson quoted, “Those who labor in the earth are the chosen people of God." During his presidency farming became an issue because of the soil and he sought out to find a plan that would revive his soil and keep it growing crops. He introduced us to the crop rotation system.
