Long ago, white people owned slaves who would do their work for their benefit. Nowadays, people believe that slavery was abominable, but back in the early 1800s, people believed that slavery was moral. However, there were many people who were against slavery. Two of which were the slave Harriet Tubman, and president Abraham Lincoln.
