Odysseus is seen as loyal because he always looks out for his men and tries to make sure they end up alive. “Circe gives Odysseus a magic drink, but it does not affect him and he threatens to kill her with his sword. When Maggie first went to ask professional boxing coach, Frankie, to train her, he was skeptical of women fighters and told her she is too old to learn. His ex-boxer and gym manager, Scrap, trains Maggie behind the back of Frankie and Scrap eventually persuades Frankie to train her. Maggie is determined to prove she is worth the time to Frankie and devotes her whole life to boxing. This is similar to Odysseus because he is determined to make it back to Ithaca. After “Aeolus gives Odysseus two parting gifts: a fair west wind that will blow the fleet of ships toward Ithaca, and a great bag holding all the unfavorable, stormy winds” and the men open the bags which sends them back to the island Odysseus, Odysseus doesn’t give up on his his fight to make it back home.
