Made in the golden era of MGM musicals, Singing' in the Rain (1952) is an American musical film starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds. Based in 1920’s Hollywood, the story is a comedic take on the talkie revolution, as a silent film actor struggles to transition into the era of sound films and decides to make a musical.
