Why should we continue explore our universe?

Not only that but as intellectual beings we have the right to "discover" and "explore" to satisfy our curiosity, which is what led space exploration in the first place. The universe holds an infinite amount of resources and unknown materials that we couldn't possibly imagine, and in different ways this can be beneficial to our survival.
