Survival skills could include how to find food in the wilderness, or knowing how to swim, but emotional stability and intellectual awareness are the most important in order to survive.

All in all, humans with good intellectual capabilities are more likely to survive in the wilderness than someone who can't make quick decisions or someone that gives up.

It is true that physical fitness can help you in a crisis by providing you with the strength to climb, or hike for a while. The story “Six Days Stranded in the Snow on Mt. Hood” is an article about Mary, who gets lost on Mt. Hood. Hood for six days, and eventually gets rescued Mary states, “I walked for hours, sure I was on the summit track”(Grimm).
