Slavery was hard going through rough times, being sold, being traded then one day leaders knew that it was not right to do slavery so they ended it. Slavery lead to the civil war in history which had the affect of inequalities which team back to African-Americans having to fight for there rights. Slavery has been alive for about 358 years in Brazil. Slavery in Brazil was the last in the Western to be abolished.By the time it was abolished in 1888 about 4 million slaves were imported from Africa.Thats only 40% of the slaves brought to the Americas, while the US received approximately 10%.Between 1502 and 1866 of the 11.2 million imported AfrIcans only 388,000 arrived in the Americas the rest went to Brazil.That was during the 16th and 17th centuries.Soon, the sugar plantation system became entirely dependent on African slave labor.
