The earliest record of smallpox attack was in ancient Egypt in 1156 BC, the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses V's mummy had suspected for a smallpox rash signs. After that time, smallpox start to spread out, more and more countries began to feel smallpox’s presence, and during that time, everyone dies from smallpox as there was no known cure. In 1796, British Biologist Edward Jenner who lived in a countryside found a less dangerous method of inoculation. He succeeded in giving an 8-year-old boy injected with vaccines. The smallpox vaccine use can produce antibody of smallpox but not pathogenic to humans. In 1980, World Health Organization declared the successful eradication of human smallpox.

The first stage symptoms of smallpox very similar as normal flu and feverishness. The virus begins growing in the bloodstream 72-96 hours after infection, but no obvious symptoms appear immediately. The doctor and nurses believes he's already been through the incubation period for a while. The observation chart shown patient doesn't bring down the fever since 12 of February, once the smallpox gets into his body, the incubation period normally is between 7~17 days, so he may has been infected from January.
