Social justice is the act of showing care and compassion to those who aren’t as well off as others. The Bible promotes social justice throughout many of its stories, for example the Proverbs chapter thirty-one verses eight to nine says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Human rights are constantly being violated in every part of the world. For example, article three of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights titled, The Right to Live Free states, “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.” This human right has been majorly violated in the past year alone. In Quetta, Pakistan on the 8th of August 74 people were killed and a further 120 were injured in a suicide bomber massacre at a hospital. According to the World Health Organisation, over 1,500 people die each week in ectopic person camps in Uganda. 85 people were killed and 202 people were injured in the Bastille Day attack that occurred on the 14th of July in Nice, France. Finally, on the 12th of June, the largest mass shooting in modern U.S. history took place at the Pulse Orlando Nightclub, 49 people were killed and 53 others were injured. These are only four of thousands attacks on humanity that have occurred in the past year alone. Attacks are not the only factors violating human rights many other violations take place such as, women and children not receiving equal rights to men, races discriminating against other races and thousands of people being denied a fair trial, tortured and imprisoned because of what they think or
