In fact, Multinationals and large corporation insist on providing comfortable, relaxing and a fun filled environment to ensure rocketing of productivity and efficiency. One of the common tools used by these organizations to organize such gratifying environment is, social networking. Social networking, including websites such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Instagram, raised the awareness of most youngsters and working ages. Social networking is a platform where people shares interest, real life incidents, background, class, activities, sports and many more other diversions, develop social relations or network. It is a platform which consists of a special rendition of each user, who owns a profile, social links and other activities. Social networking is web-based, which enabled different users to befriend other users, look up on their profiles and interact through instant messages, comments and following. Many people argue that using such web sites have obstructive impact in communicating with others back in our “real” life, including professional and personal, but this is not always the case. First, moving towards the impact on our personal lives and what kind of a role does social networking plays when relating with each other. Many of the population, especially youngsters and emerging adults would agree that websites such as Facebook helped them in widening and deepening their social circles rapidly. As mentioned, modern technology has speeded up the evolving of our daily habits and expands our social circle worldwide and a study on college students proved that these social networking the best way to relate each other among college crowds (Subrahmanyam, 2008). Subrahmanyam further explains that communication among these students as well as adults are dominated by uploading pictures, updating statuses, commenting on pictures/statuses or instant messages. Students sometimes indulge in self-disclosure activity, which “hints” others to take initiative or create intimacy and start communication hoping to develop friendship. Results showed that this helped individuals in increasing their self-esteem, confidence, trust and participation which is direly needed in this fast paced world. “A longitude analysis of panel data from users of popular social networking website such as Facebook or Twitter investigated that the relationship between the users and the websites helped stable psychological well-being and build social capital” (Steinfield, Charles, Ellison, and Lampe, 2008). Social capital refers to the collective value of social network and the tendency to emerge from social networking to reciprocity. This contributes to the development of relational, structural and cognitive forms of social capital. People with lower self-esteem were able to reverse the situation with popularizing the use of social networking. When their relation with other users increases, reciprocity starts to build up between them and other users. This leads to the development in their ability to overcome their sense of insecurity and to build up normal social relations. This served in balancing their psychological well-being. There is a constructive relationship between social networking and work efficiency. The usage of social networking websites such as Facebook or Myspace helps enlarging the social circle of colleagues and workmate. Such usage provides stimulation in converting a tiring and exhausting working environment into a comfortable and productive environment. Social capital here supports the sharing and allocation of knowledge among working peers, taking the lead in the initial step of knowing each other and then a further step of expanding their relationships
