Sojourner Truth was a courageous woman, and she stood up for her beliefs she was wronged beaten but she still pushed through. Even if her words did not matter to others she still said them. Sojourner worked every day for other people as a slave but still did her job. Sojourner fought for women's rights when she had no rights herself. She was a mom that had her children taken away while they were young.
First, Sojourner Truth was a slave that experienced many hardships. Sojourner could not speak English she only knew one language which was Dutch. She was sold to many different slave owners including Colonel Hardenbergh, Charles, (the colonel’s son) and John Neely. Sojourner worked a man's job that most men could not she was strong like a man
