In the case of Sophia, a 17-year-old, high school junior, that hopes to attend college, the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) could be used as a technology assisted assessment because she is unsure about what her interests are or what her options are (Capella University, n.d.; Whiston, 2013). The SII would be an appropriate assessment as an addition to Sophia’s counseling because it was designed, among other things, to support educational and career decisions, promote self-exploration, and help in personal decisions (Kelly, 2010).
