Thesis Statement:Based on the research of the colonization of Africa, America should not colonize South America because it can cause devastation and the natives' resources will be taken.

Topic Sentence: If the United States colonized South America it could devastation to the people.
Supporting Evidence #1: According to The scramble for Africa, it states, “Africans lost control of their land their independence”(The Scramble for Africa, n.d).
Explanation: Africans lost their freedom, and land because the British colonized them and that caused them to suffer, they were not able to live their ordinary lives when the British invaded their land. Now if America does this to the South Americans it will cause devastation to them because the US will be taking the Natives land.
