Space explorations are not only expensive in time, but they cost a lot to produce. In fact, "almost $17 billion will fly into NASA's coffers with about $5.3 billion dedicated to space exploration" (Source E). With this much money from taxpayers going into space research, it is important to consider the relevance of this research. However, while $17 billion may seem like a lot, "The money that is spent goes into manufacturing, research and development, salaries, benefits, insurance companies, doctors...and corporations big and small" (Source A). Exploration's benefits here on Earth show that research is needed for the betterment of Earth. Not only does this data help us on Earth, but "Space preservation requires that the Solar System be valued for its own sake, not on the basis of what it can do for us" (Source E). This shows that while we may only think of how it can affect us, we must also consider how exploration impacts our
