In the first paragraph, President Ronald Reagan explains why he had to reschedule the report on the
state of the union and what led to the rescheduling of it. He then shifted to the importance of the speech;
changing his tone, use of words into an emotional and painful reality to portray the incident that occurs.
Reagan reacted to a similar occurrence which occurs 19 years ago without shifting from the primary
significance of the tragedy. He then moved on to acknowledge each member of the disaster;
Recognizing them for their work and praising them for their bravery. The use of pathos is seen
