I remember this one time when I was really young, and I was playing travel baseball. I was friends with the coach’s son and his friend. We were on our way to a baseball game somewhere pretty far away, and we just got there. We were sitting with our whole team on the ground, and I was messing with the coach’s son and all of a sudden he called me a spic. I was so confused because everyone started laughing too, so I pretended like I knew what it meant and got mad a little bit. Later on in that same day they were talking about it again, and I asked them what it meant. They told me what they meant, and I did not think that was offensive. Just this year during basketball season my friend probably called me a spic more than 100 times but in a friendly way. Another time I remember him calling me a spic is on the ride to play Anamosa. I was just sitting in my seat and I moved my leg and kicked him on accident. He said “Watch it spic.” I said, “Shut up nigga.” This was all said in a playful manner. As one can, see I do not get offended when someone calls me a spic. All of my friends call me a spic in a playful manner. There are many other Mexicans that might get offended if they got call a spic but, I just do not see why they would get mad. Now people understand also is that Mexicans are not the only people that stab someone when they get mad or are the only ones doing drugs in the United
