Throughout the world 250,000 to 500,000 people suffer from a spinal cord injury every year (Eckert & Martin, 2017). Spinal cord injuries occur from traumatic accidents that often cannot be prevented. They affect every type of person and is a problem that needs to be looked at from a multidisciplinary perspective. There are physiological, psychological, and sociology aspects of spinal cord injuries. Therefore, the solution to this problem must be looked at through these disciplines as well.
